Our School

St. Bernadette Soubirous School is a private Catholic educational institution dedicated to preparing learners with the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes needed for effective living and for driving positive change in society. With a rich history and culture rooted in the passionate promotion of quality education, the school has, for over four decades, played a vital role in shaping constructive pedagogical approaches that inspire creativity, foster optimal learning, and support the personal and professional growth of Management, staff, and pupils alike. Guided by Catholic Christian principles, we ensure a strong moral foundation that nurtures both sound education and holistic personal development.

St. Bernadette Soubirous School was founded in February 1979 by the Sisters, Servants of the Holy Spirit (SPSS) under the auspices of the then Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, the Late Most Rev. Dominic Kwadwo Andoh. Its main aim was to serve the basic educational needs of the growing community of Dansoman and its environs.

The school runs a full G.E.S curriculum, interspersed with subjects such as Catholic Doctrine, Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning Skills, and, Robotics and Coding. These help shape the moral character of the learners, get closer to God as well as give them a springboard into our ever changing world of technology and commerce.

Our basic school is dedicated to serving learners in these Departments:

• Kindergarten —    K.G 1 and K.G 2
• Lower Primary — Basic 1 to Basic 3 (BS. 1 to BS. 3)
• Upper Primary — Basic 4 to Basic 6 (BS. 4 to BS. 6)
• JHS 1 to 3 —        Basic 7 to Basic 9 (BS. 7 to BS. 9
