St. Bernadette Soubirous School is a Catholic private basic school that provides holistic education anchored on sound Catholic Christian values, academic excellence and character formation.
We run the Ghana Education Service (G.E.S.) curriculum. However, subjects like catholic Doctrine verbal and quantitative reasoning skills, robotics and coding are integrated into it to equip learners with lifelong values and skills.

ADMISSIONS
No, Admissions for Kindergarten 1 and 2 begin in late January to early February with the selling of forms at a date that is set aside.
For mainstream admissions for Basic 1 to Basic 7 (class one to JHS 1), application letters are accepted between January and May.
Documents that are to be attached to the admission form include copies of the prospective learner’s birth certificate, weighing card, baptismal card (for Catholic children) and two recent passport size photographs.
Children begin K.G. 1 from 4 years.
Mid-year transfers are handled on a case-by-case basis.
THERE ARE NO ADMISSIONS FOR BS. 8 AND 9(JHS 2 AND 3)
Yes. All prospective learners for K.G 1 and 2 undergo a readiness test and interview to ascertain their ability begin receiving instruction and undertaking tasks for K.G. learners
Prospective learners for Bs. 1 to 7 write an entrance exam in English, Mathematics and Science to ensure that they are placed at the appropriate level.
ACADEMIC AND STUDENT LIFE
Subjects at the K.G. are Literacy, Numeracy, OWOP and Creative Arts
Subjects at the Primary Department are English, Mathematics, Science, R.ME., History, OWOP, Creative Arts, Ga/Asante Twi, French, computing, Catholic Doctrine, Verbal & Quantitative Reasoning Skills, Robotics and Coding. Yes. We offer a variety of co-curricular activities such as drama and debate club, choreography group, arts club, science and mathematics club, choir, chess club, brass band, school band, boys scout, cadet.
We have a team of well-qualified and highly skilled teaching personnel who ensure that our learners receive the highest form of preparation for the B.E.C.E.
RELIGIOUS DEVELOPMENT
Yes. We are a Catholic school; as such, religious education is a central part of our life in school. All learners are expected to partake in religious programs such as Holy Mass, rosary prayers, daily morning and closing prayers and undertake lessons in Catholic Doctrine.
No. learners from all religious backgrounds are welcome. They will however be required to participate in all Catholic activities that take place at school.
FEES AND PAYMENTS
School fees vary depending on the level of the learner. Kindly visit our accounts office for more details on school fees.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or mobile money.
We offer a 10% discount on tuition fees for a third child and upwards.
Yes, Parents can pay full fees at the beginning of each term or spread the payment as follows: the first one-third is to be paid on or before reopening day, the second one-third is to be paid at the end of the month of reopening and the final one third by mid-term break.
Once payment is made for school fees, there is no refund.
COMMUNICATION DETAILS
We communicate with our parents through newsletters, WhatsApp messages, P.T.A. meetings and regular updates on the school portal.
TRANSPORTATION
No. The school does not offer bus services. Parents have to make arrangement for the transportation needs of their children.
FEEDING
Yes. Parents can pay for their children to be fed from the school canteen.
